Roman Turovsky is an artist-painter with primary concerns in urban landscape and the female nude, both interpreted dramatically, combining elements of figuration and abstraction in a natural synthesis, as well as portrait and, especially, self-portrait. He also works in the multimedia genres, including video-installation, photography and music.

Biography in brief:

Roman Turovsky studied Art at Kiev Shevchenko State Art School and New York's Parsons School of Design. He also studied Music (Composition and Historical Performance). He moved to the New York City in 1979. Turovsky combined a career in Art with that of a Visual Effects artist in cinema, television and theater, as well as a composer of Classical music. He traveled extensively in Europe and South America, where his musical works received many premieres.
His works are in the permanent collections of Morean Art Center, the Graham Center Museum and the Marian Institute.
