Biography:

Roman Turovsky is an interdisciplinary artist-painter with primary concerns in urban landscape and the female nude, both interpreted dramatically, combining elements of figuration and abstraction in a natural synthesis, as well as portrait and, especially, self-portrait. He also works in the multimedia genres, including video-installation, photography and music.

Turovsky studied Art at Kiev Art Institute and New York's Parsons School of Design, as well as Music (Composition and Historical Performance). He moved to the New York City in 1979. Turovsky combined a career in Art with that of a Visual Effects artist in cinema, television and theater, as well as a composer of Classical music. He traveled extensively in Europe and South America, where his musical works had received many premieres.
